about Melanie Forchetti-picture
Melanie Forchetti

Melanie Forchetti, Head of Casting for Forchetti Casting, LLC, has been finding top talent for feature films, television shows, commercials, print, educational, and corporate projects on the East Coast for over 10 years. She has also taught Acting for twenty years, because she finds it important to take time out to help actors perfect their craft. She began teaching “Acting for the Camera” at the Gene Frankel Theatre in collaboration with the New York Institute of Technology in New York City. With a BFA in Acting from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and training at the Lee Strasberg Institute, her classes are built from a foundation of Method acting that translates to compelling performances on camera. She has also taught acting classes at TVI in Los Angeles, Mike Lemon Casting, offered private workshops at many talent agencies in the Tri-State area, as well as taught online classes for Backstage. She believes in building characters from the ground up, breathing life into each role through personal experiences, mapping out characters based on the script, and making strong choices in every scene. She can also help decode nuances in scripts for actors and discover a character’s throughline.

Melanie has also written & produced feature films, TV Shows, and commercials in New York. In Los Angeles, she worked in Business Affairs at the talent agency Writers & Artists as well as The Firm, a celebrity management company, where she worked with Samuel L Jackson, Teri Hatcher, Robert Forrester, among many other A-List talent. Melanie was the Head of Casting at Mike Lemon Casting in Philadelphia for over 7 years.

Sandra Landers Turner picture

Sandra Landers-Turner started her teaching and coaching career in 1994 with Rodney Robb at The Actors Center of Philadelphia. Sandra has traveled all over the United States and Canada with several professional children’s theatre groups, however; after meeting Mr. Robb Sandra fell in love with film and television acting. She has appeared in many films, including, One Fine Day, School Ties, In and Out, and The Lovely Bones. Her Television appearances include Law and Order SVU (ABC), FBI (CBS), The Politician (Netflix), Hightown (Starz) and The Plot Against America (HBO) as Sandra Landers. Sandra has continued her acting career, but her life changed in 2006 when her child Morgan Turner started a career of their own in the film Invincible as Susan Vermeil at the tender age of 5. In 2011 Sandra worked closely with director Todd Haynes coaching Morgan for the role of young Veda on the set of the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce. Morgan has continued her acting career landing roles in TV and film, most recently as Young Martha in JUMANJI. Sandra also coached a young Catherine Chan on the set of the Jason Statham in the movie Safe. Sandra continues to coach Morgan and other young actors for auditions in film and television work and the Uptown Center for the Performing arts in West Chester, PA as well as Station Three Management in New York City. Her students have booked roles in TV and film including Blue Bloods, New Amsterdam, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Mare of Easttown, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and the soon to be aired HBO miniseries Full Circle.
